Anyone Else in a Funk?
Our family has been self quarantined for 10 days now and I wish I could tell you that I have this awesome system in place, my kids are thriving, and I'm using this time to enrich my mind, body, and soul...
The days are messy blob of kid requests, lots and lots of meal/snack making, a hodge podge of random activities, and as much walking as my kids will tolerate. I'm not sure what the right answer is to navigating this uncharted territory. I waffle between wanting to be more structured and giving us grace and flexibility to move in the directions we need to as the day goes on. I've done some cute activities with the kids (see below) and have more in my pocket, but I also just don't really feel like it a lot of the time and send my kids off to play together. Finding time for myself and my business seems increasingly hard with everyone home, so I'm working on setting expectations for that. This is all weird and hard and frustrating and stressful!
Just wanted to put this out there that we don't all have it figured out and maybe that's ok? Maybe seeing or reading about more real moments will help us all feel a little more in this together?
Hope everyone is staying home and staying safe so we can get past asap!
